My husband is
not really into home offices. He would rather sit on the couch and work using
his laptop. Fine by me! That means the office space is ALL MINE! YIPPIE! Ok, so
this space will be my experimental out of the box space. I want to use my
favorite color PINK along with my favorite print CHEETAH. Sometimes cheetah
print is used all wrong and the spaces look cheap and/or cheesy. For this room,
I wanted to go with a more eclectic look. I love how Houtzz.com defines eclectic, “Eclectic
style is the great equalizer. It reshuffles the rule book, mixing and matching
old and new, East and West, luxe and humble, showy and quiet. It invites you to
fill a space with objects you love and unique finds that strike your fancy.
Simply put, it's you, curated.” Deviating from the traditional brown and black
cheetah print I found the snow leopard print to really speak to this design
aspect. Well… I guess a cheetah and a snow leopard are two different animals
but you know what I mean.
Room
Inspiration:
#1
I love the sophistication
of this office. The chic photo wall collage and the tufted bench in front of
the desk really makes the space feel regal and elegant. The black, white and
gold color palette also displays the classic elegance of the space.
#2
Cheetah and
Pink are used very well in this space. The white and gold desk truly makes this
the rooms statement piece. Pink wall color, accessories and accents help tie in
the color scheme. And who doesn’t LOVE the cheetah carpet. This is a bold move
but is executed with perfection.
#3
Ok… this is
where I fell in love with the snow leopard print. The accent wall is the true
focal point of the two spaces. Although the rooms are very neutral, the wall
adds drama and interest to the space.
#4
The clean lines
and white palette makes the room feel open and airy. The subtle snow leopard
print in the pillow and wall art adds a hint of drama. The gold bookshelf and
wall accessories bring in personality and organization. The inspirational
quotes will be sure to motivate.

Inspiration:
Using eclectic
design style, I can mix and match different textures, furniture architecture,
prints and patterns. Below are different variations of design that can be
incorporated into the office space. The trick is to find enough common ground
to make a space gel. The common ground in many of the furnishings are color,
shape and lines. Mixing and matching is daring but can prove to be some of the
best designs.
